As the Map Rendering team, we use our engineering skills and curiosity to push the boundaries of what’s possible with interactive maps and how people use location technologies in their daily lives. We work on a state-of-the-art platform for map interaction and visualization used by millions of people around the globe. 

As AI becomes embedded in modern engineering workflows, we value engineers who can thoughtfully integrate AI into design, development, and decision-making. Our interview process will include discussion of how you use AI in your engineering workflow.

What You’ll Do

• Work with a modern C++17 codebase, using the best practices of software engineering and tools.

• Tackle advanced graphics programming, algorithmic, and architectural problems.

• Enhance the performance, stability, and simplicity of our products.

• Experiment with new visualization techniques and fast graphics and geometry algorithms, and see them benefit millions of people in consumer mapping applications.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure Mapbox SDKs work smoothly end-to-end, across Maps and Navigation.
