We are seeking a skilled Senior Identity Engineer to drive the design, implementation and continuous improvement of our identity and access management environment. This hands-on role is critical in strengthening identity governance across the organisation, delivering secure, scalable and compliant solutions that support cyber security, data governance and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Head of Data & Identity Governance and broader IT teams, you will play a key role in enhancing access controls, automating lifecycle processes and uplifting governance across staff, guest and third-party access.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement identity and access management solutions to enhance security, governance and efficiency
- Deliver identity governance initiatives aligned with business objectives using structured project practices
- Develop and maintain RBAC models, identity lifecycle workflows and access governance controls
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify access gaps and implement remediation strategies
- Implement automated joiner, mover and leaver (JML) processes across all user types
- Lead the configuration and ongoing management of Microsoft Entra ID and related technologies
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, reporting, audits and access reviews
- Provide technical expertise on identity governance, risk management and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Microsoft certifications (required): SC-900; (desirable): AZ-900, MS-102
- 5+ years in infrastructure or cyber security engineering; 2+ years in IAM
- Experience delivering IAM solutions in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Background in healthcare or regulated environments (desirable)
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Conditional Access
- Experience with automation (PowerShell, Graph API, Power Automate)
- Knowledge of RBAC, identity governance, PIM and JML processes
- Understanding of Zero Trust and least-privilege access models
- Integration experience across identity platforms, apps and HR systems (Aquera desirable)
