As the Treasury Back Office Manager, you will be the custodian of the "Engine Room" of the Moneybox Treasury function. Your primary mission is to ensure operational excellence, robust risk oversight, and system integrity. This is a "Back Office" leadership role designed to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and daily execution. You will take immediate ownership of our Treasury Management System (Kyriba) and act as the primary mentor and line manager for a Treasury Associate, ensuring the team remains consistent, well-trained, and resilient.
What you’ll do
- 1. Systems & Infrastructure (TMS Lead)
- Kyriba Ownership: Serve as the primary lead for the Kyriba TMS. Complete the final stages of the project close-out, including remaining UAT and bank connectivity.
- System Training: Design and deliver training for the wider team to ensure the TMS is utilised to its full potential.
- Automation: Identify manual workflows (e.g. accruals and daily rebalancing) that can be migrated into Kyriba to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency.
- 2. Governance & Risk Oversight
- Policy Management: Own the maintenance and update cycles for all Treasury policy documents and procedures.
- KRI Reporting: Develop, monitor, and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to ensure the function operates within Board-approved limits.
- KYC & Due Diligence: Manage the Bank Due Diligence process and handle all KYC/onboarding requirements for our banking counterparties.
- 3. Operational Control & Back Office
- Daily Operations: Take full charge of the day-to-day Treasury operations, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and on time.
- Line Management: Directly manage and develop the Treasury Associate, overseeing their day-to-day tasks to ensure high accuracy and professional growth.
- MI & Reporting: Oversee the production of the Treasury Management Committee (TMC), CASS and Trust Committee reporting packs.
- Audit Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests, ensuring "audit-ready" documentation at all times.
- 4. Commercial & Administrative Support
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with a variety of teams across the business to support broader company initiatives and operational alignment.
- Finance Liaison: Oversee the Treasury processes, ensuring a seamless interface with the wider Finance team.
- Ad-hoc Response: Provide support handling requests without impacting BAU.
Experience & Skills
- Technical Background: 3+ years in a Treasury environment, with specific experience in Back Office functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional Treasury qualification (e.g., ACT/AMCT) or Accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
- Systems Savvy: Proven experience with a Treasury Management System (TMS)—ideally Kyriba. Experience with implementation or UAT is a significant advantage.
- Communication & Pace: An excellent communicator who thrives in a cross-functional environment and is comfortable working at pace to meet business needs.
- Governance Focused: A strong understanding of the "Three Lines of Defense" model and a passion for building robust control environments.
- People Leader: Experience (or a strong desire) in managing and mentoring junior talent.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable navigating complex data and identifying the "why" behind tasks and data.
