Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive individual to join our Loan Production team. Our Loan Production team operates in pods — typically made up of one processor and one closer — who work together to support a shared pipeline of loans from submission through closing and funding.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with another operations teammate to ensure loans move efficiently and predictably through each stage of the process. Depending on your experience and strengths, you may focus more heavily on processing, closing/fulfillment, or be comfortable supporting both — with clear ownership and collaboration within your pod.
You’ll handle a high volume of core tasks that keep deals moving, while also having opportunities to deepen your underwriting knowledge and contribute to operational improvements. You have a strong work ethic, stay calm under pressure, and are always willing to jump in where help is needed. Job Responsibilities
Processing & File Readiness
- Review borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Manage workflows in lender portals, including locking and disclosing files
- Determine file readiness for submission and proactively flag missing items or potential issues
- Coordinate homeowner’s insurance, title, and appraisal workflows
Closing & Fulfillment
- Support loans from submission through clear-to-close, closing, and funding
- Work directly with lenders, title companies, and internal teams to ensure deals close smoothly and on schedule
- Ensure all final underwriting and closing conditions are received, reviewed, and cleared
- Help resolve late-stage issues that could delay closing
Communication & Experience
- Facilitate a transparent experience for loan officers and borrowers, with clear communication around underwriting conditions, timelines, and the closing process
- Serve as a reliable point of coordination across internal and external stakeholders
Operational Excellence
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recurring pain points
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement short- and long-term process improvements
- Maintain accurate internal records and ensure compliance with company and lender requirements
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, with experience in processing, underwriting support, and/or closing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple loans and deadlines without micromanagement
- Fast learner and self-starter with a high-ownership mindset
- Results-driven and able to stay calm in high-volume or high-pressure situations
- Excited to work at a startup environment
Compensation
$50K - $65K + monthly performance bonus
