Responsibilities π€
- Design and implement enterprise data solutions using Databricks.
- Lead end-to-end Databricks projects, including migrations from legacy platforms.
- Design and optimize solutions using Apache Spark, with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
- Work closely with Databricks Professional Services teams and clients to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Implement CI/CD practices and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to Data Engineering, Lakehouse, and data platform modernization initiatives.
Required Skills π»
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Analytics.
- 10+ years of total professional experience.
- Proven experience delivering 4β6+ end-to-end Databricks projects in production.
- Databricks Certification is mandatory (non-negotiable). Databricks Associate is the minimum requirement; Professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Spark, including internals, window functions, aggregations, and clustering.
- Proven experience with legacy-to-Databricks migrations.
- Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
- Strong knowledge of Databricks performance tuning and scalability.
- Knowledge of GenAI, RAG, Databricks Genie, or Databricks Apps is a plus.
- English proficiency and availability to work with US time zone overlap.
