Account Director, Small & Medium Business Growth (SMBG)

The NBCU Account Director, Small & Medium Business Growth (SMBG) will focus exclusively on driving demand for performance brands across our suite of linear and digital products including all streaming products, with a focus on driving new and incremental revenue for the full NBCU portfolio (One Platform). This individual will play a critical role within our fast-paced advertising sales team, managing relationships across external clients and independent media agencies. The role requires building relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborative partners across the NBCU organization. Expertise within the performance and digital landscape is a must. This person must have the ability to operate effectively at the cross-section of performance and digital media as these skills are critical to achieving success in this role. This role will report directly into to the Vice President, SMBG. 

• Drive linear and digital advertising demand of the NBCU Platform for specific performance brands and agencies in the direct-to-consumer category 
• Be an expert across NBCU digital and streaming products and convey meaningful and sustainable opportunities to emerging brands 
• Execute on day-to-day sales strategy; develop target lists, lead client outreach and be in market often with full NBCU opportunities 
• Leverage prospecting software such as Linkedin Navigator, Media Radar and Zoom Info to identify, research and engage prospective clients and partners 
• Understand customer needs and provide feedback and market input that will strengthen our NBCU opportunities and value proposition 
• Field proactive requests: collect, manage, and route RFP requests to key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met 
• Track sales revenue and establish a regular cadence for reporting on progress 
• Partner with internal teams (Digital and Linear sales leads, Client Strategy, Agency Partnerships, Marketing, Legal, Research, etc.) to develop proactive packages and drive creativity throughout the sales process 
• Develop strong relationships throughout NBCU to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market 

• Proven ability to prospect and identify new/incremental revenue opportunities beyond servicing an existing book of business
• Growth-oriented/hunter mindset, with experience developing new opportunities, expanding client investment, and converting whitespace into revenue
• Strong technical aptitude, including demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, data, or emerging technology to improve workflows, prospect more effectively, or solve business problems
• Advanced client-facing skills with the ability to articulate value propositions, influence investment, and present integrated marketing solutions
• Analytical and strategic thinker with a track record of creative problem-solving and driving innovation
• Self-starter who can operate independently and effectively navigate a large, cross-functional organization
• 5+ years of relevant experience across advertising sales, business development, account management, programmatic/ad tech, or a related advanced media environment
• Digital video experience required

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $95,000 - $170,000 + sales compensation incentive eligible
