Role Purpose:
This position will provide legal support for a wide variety of software and related technology licenses and business and product counseling matters for the Global Streaming businesses including Peacock and international projects powered by the Peacock platform. This role will report to the divisionβs Vice President or Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities:
- Independently draft, review, negotiate and interpret a range of contracts and other legal documents, including software and technology licenses and professional services agreements for use in support of the Peacock service and other Global Streaming and Media Group properties including, for example, the NBC and Bravo apps and websites
- Negotiate and counsel clients regarding emerging issues in technology transactions, including Generative AI
- Work closely with product owners to advise on business and legal matters posed by developments to the Global Streaming and Media Group properties and applicable laws
- Conduct special projects such as terms of service review and training of client teams
- Coordinate with Privacy and Information Security teams to ensure personal data and confidential information is collected, used and secured in accordance with the law and company policy
- Provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues, and propose practical, responsive solutions
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of the latest developments in the law and technology as they relate to digital media
- Identify and implement improvements to forms and processes
- Partner with NBCUniversal business executives, as well as colleagues in the Law Department, to discuss and implement best practices and formulate new processes in connection with business needs
- Other matters as needed at the direction of the divisionβs Vice President and Senior Vice President
Basic Requirements:
- Member of New York bar or other U.S. state bar
- JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school
- 2+ years of relevant legal experience
- Experience in digital / new media, including a thorough understanding of and demonstrated proficiency with technology agreements

- Willingness to work nights and on weekends, if needed
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 (bonus eligible).
