The Franchise Strategy Intern will support the APAC Franchise Strategy and Brand Marketing Function across the core responsibilities.
- Regional APAC Universal Franchise Strategy execution
- Theatrical Third Party Promotions
Besides the core responsibilities, you might be asked to support (on a case by case basis) the below functions:
- Regional APAC Universal Theatrical Brand Marketing/Parks Support
- Regional APAC Symphony
Your responsibilities may span the following areas:
Franchise Strategy
- Assist Regional/local franchise leads on execution of local initiatives, including approval process.
- Support execution of Global Franchise initiatives and other key franchise properties in the region.
- Update Regional social/content calendar working with the global team.
- Assist in live events/digital amplification/gaming needs for the region.
- Support management, production and distribution of all marketing and sales materials for titles including presentations, reels, newsletter and collateral used studio-wide for global Promotions and International TV Distribution.
- Support Consumer Products KPM/Meetings sales material requirements.
Theatrical Third Party Promotions
- Assist the Regional team on third party promotions in Japan market.
- Support the local Japan team on day to day approvals.
- Also support the local Japan team on assets/pitch materials.
Additional Responsibilities (if required on a case by case basis)
- Support park initiatives and presentations at Universal Studios Singapore/ Universal Studios Japan, and preparing movie slate materials for TV Distribution and theatrical partners.
- Support execution of Symphony projects through collaboration with Theatrical, Parks, Consumer Products, and TV Distribution teams.
- Provide administrative and coordination support, including but not limited to meeting scheduling, logistics management, Sharepoint updates, and assets sharing with teams and partners.
Please note that this is a full-time 6 month internship opportunity from January - June 2027 for undergraduate students.
Basic Requirements:
- Undergraduates seeking experience in the media & entertainment industry.
- Good interpersonal skills, stakeholder management.
- Keen eye for detail, consolidation, organization.
- Interest in Consumer Insights, Marketing, Events, International market dynamics.
Desired Characteristics:
- Past exposure to the evolving digital/social environment.
- Knowledge of global/local digital platforms/gaming targeting kids and young adults.
