Graphics Coordinator, TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle

The Graphics Coordinator at TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle is the primary graphics contact for producers, directors, artists and playback operators. The Coordinator reviews and modifies graphic orders, assigns uncompleted requests, and produces additional elements to enhance segments. The Coordinator serves as the final evaluator of prepared graphics, ensuring elements are accurate, error-free, and made in accordance with the producers’ visions and the show’s look and feel. The Coordinator plays an integral role in the control room, alerting the director when elements should be inserted and producing last-minute requests.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Manage graphics from conception to completion, including animations, monitors, photographs, text panels and lower thirds
• Review, proof and assign existing graphics requests, generate additional elements to enhance stories
• Load and traffic all elements into the daily rundown for playback.
• Compose a daily list of supers and transfer the information to lower third graphics
• Direct graphics from the control room during live broadcast
• Forward ongoing rundown changes to a variety of team contributors
• Review producers’ notes to develop in-depth knowledge of all segments
• Provide rights and clearances guidance to producers and flag any content that needs additional review to senior leadership
• Develop and lead initiatives to improve graphics ordering, creation and playback processes
• Track previous orders to streamline workflow for recurring segments
• Maintain the “Graphics How-To” guide for staff reference.

• 1+ years of experience in production at the network or daytime television level
• 1+ years of experience working with graphics at the network or cable news level
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English or a related field of study
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice

Additional Requirements:

• Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $24/hr - $28/hr
