As part of the Security Operations Team, this position plays a key role in helping maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment across CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood by planning, organizing and directing crime prevention operations throughout our iconic Theme Park destination.
- Promptly resolve security issues that involve entities associated with Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) and CityWalk.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Security incident/crime statistics, prepare statistical reports, conduct presentations to management and recommend appropriate Security deployment and tactics based on analysis.
- Coordinate with contract security to ensure continuity of the security function and compliance with USH policy and procedures.
- Liaise with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. and other law enforcement agencies.
- Liaise with other NBCU and USH departments to provide timely notifications and conduct a variety of investigations.
- Conduct detailed analysis of requests for security and law enforcement intervention, providing assistance and expertise.
- Conduct periodic audits of security operations insuring the continual pursuit of efficiency, productivity and quality customer services.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain one's composure while handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure, ever-changing, environment.
- Prepare operational and situational reports to assist in security deployment planning and risk mitigation.
- Provide complete, timely and accurate notification and documentation of incidents using company tracking systems.
Basic Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in a number of increasingly responsible positions in law enforcement or a related applicable security profession.
- Proven organizational, written and verbal communications skills effective at all levels of the organization.
- Availability and willingness to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays dictated by business needs.
- Availability and willingness to adjust schedule and cover special events and shift with short notice.
Desired Characteristics:
- BA/BS Degree preferred.
- Previous media/entertainment experience.
- Previous experience in a corporate security environment.
- Certified law enforcement or security trainer (such as POST certification).
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of a variety of security technology systems.
- Familiarity with alarm monitoring and physical security systems.
- Proficient with MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multi-task, overseeing multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience and training in threat assessment, investigations, risk management and counter- terrorism.
- Possess a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit.
- Possess a BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.
