National Publicity Intern - Universal Pictures

Regular Weekly Duties:

• Attend weekly Marketing and Publicity team WIPs
• Creation of publicity post campaign reports
• Collate press links for trailer reports and opening day publicity reports, working alongside the National Publicist
• Collate local tour media coverage reports 
• Collate screening reactions for global reports and pull quotes for opening day review reports, working alongside the National Publicist
• General Administrative assistance as required
• Updating Media examples database

Database Management:

• Continually update the QLD Publicity Database

Research: National and QLD

• Research potential partners for film specific promotions e.g.: competitor activity, media monitoring and browsing (online, event pages, genre press outlets and community pages) along with influencer reach
• Research major sporting, seasonal and music events with a view to potential publicity tie in with our film properties
• Sourcing leads by gathering market intel on media outlets/ influencers to refine pitch lists to Publicity team

Merchandise  

• Prize fulfillment, sending out merchandise and prizing to winners QLD

In Seasons

• Sending out in-season passes to QLD partners

Events / Screenings

• General administrative and QLD event support at screenings and premiere events

Basic Requirements

• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Work, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well organized with great prioritization skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Excellent communication and a great team player
• Available to assist with evening screening events

Desired Characteristics

• Background in communications or a marketing-based discipline
• Passionate about the film industry

This part-time internship requires a 9-month commitment from March 2027 to December 2027.
