SUMMARY
Partners with assigned client groups to maximize the alignment of human resource capital with the business objectives. Provides guidance in employee relations issues, leadership/staff development and performance management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides guidance and direction to senior management team of assigned areas on all matters related to employee relations, to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices. Ensures legal compliance and understanding of policies and processes. Investigates employee workplace situations including claims of harassment and employee performance issues.
- Acts as liaison between management and core HR by supporting programs or communicating information relating to Payroll, Records, Benefits, Talent Development, Compensation, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, and Team Member Experience.
- Supports the TSAT efforts by assisting management with communication and action planning. Works with management to identify and manage the employee impact of company decisions and changes.
- Provides advice and consultation regarding workforce planning for future projects and departmental growth.
- Mentors and provides guidance to team members related to their career goals. Motivates staff to accomplish company goals. Builds bench strength within the operational division by identifying recruiting training and development opportunities.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- HR Manager, Generalist, and Sr Coordinator assigned to unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
EXPERIENCE
- Proven HR business partnership skills.
- Extensive generalist HR experience including employee relations, performance management, coaching, change management, talent management, attraction and retention.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Experience of managing and supervising a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
