Job Description

At Olsson, we are passionate about improving communities through expert engineering and design. Our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to creating an environment where you can grow, lead, and make an impact.

Our Data Center team delivers multidisciplinary engineering and design services for some of the world's most innovative companies. These projects represent some of the largest and most complex infrastructure developments in the country, creating opportunities to solve challenging technical problems, collaborate across disciplines, and shape the facilities that support global connectivity.

We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering design projects from early planning through final construction-ready documents. In this role, you will guide project teams, build strong client relationships, and help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. You'll work alongside talented professionals across multiple disciplines while leading projects that support some of the industry's most advanced and fast-paced developments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead project planning efforts, including defining project scope, milestones, schedules, deliverables, and project goals.
  • Manage project execution from concept design through final issued-for-construction documentation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams to support the successful delivery of large-scale data center campuses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders through proactive communication and responsive service.
  • Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions while driving accountability and progress across project teams.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of engineering and architectural design packages, including drawings, models, reports, calculations, and related project documentation.
  • Support quality management efforts by coordinating technical reviews and helping ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality work.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, track project profitability, and support contract administration activities.
  • Identify and proactively address project risks, challenges, and opportunities while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Mentor and support team members while fostering collaboration, professional development, and project success.

Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Working collaboratively with others.
  • Having ownership in the work you do.
  • Using your talents to positively affect communities.

You bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
  • 6+ years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, with increasing project responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting multidisciplinary engineering or architectural projects.
  • Experience leading or coordinating large-scale industrial, mission-critical, or campus-style developments is beneficial.
  • Understanding of engineering and design processes, project delivery methods, contracts, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Ability to successfully manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and delivering quality work.
