Plata Card is hiring an Engineering Manager for our PyMe Product Origination team, focused on driving delivery, team growth, and execution quality.
The team owns the end-to-end lifecycle of credit product launches for legal entities β from the first product available to a verified business customer, through to the tools they use to manage their team and accounts. The scope spans both revenue-generating products and internal business banking features.
This is a hands-on role. You'll split your time between leading people (coaching, planning, stakeholder communication) and staying close to the technical work β contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and implementation when it matters.

- Own technical quality: shape the architecture of backend services in Go, validate technical solutions, and stay close enough to the codebase to make informed decisions
What makes you a great fit:
- 1+ year managing engineering teams in fast-paced environments
- Proven skills in hiring, performance management, delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration
- 4+ years of Go development experience β enough to participate in architectural discussions and validate the team's technical decisions
- Experience building and improving development processes β planning, decomposition, retrospectives, and quality gates
- Navigating stakeholder relationships with confidence β articulating the team's position clearly and constructively, even when priorities conflict.
