Position Summary
The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Asset Management provides executive leadership over facilities management and capital program execution across a large, multi-market real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for setting strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring consistent delivery of capital improvements, repairs, and maintenance programs aligned with organizational objectives. The RVP leads and develops Senior Facilities Managers and Facilities Managers while establishing scalable processes, governance, and performance standards across regions. This position works with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize asset performance, control costs, and minimize business disruption. The RVP plays a critical role in advancing enterprise initiatives, strengthening vendor strategy, and improving systems and processes to support long-term growth, efficiency, and portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Senior Facilities Managers and Facilities Managers
- Build scalable, high-performing teams across multiple regions
- Drive leadership capability, accountability, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and enterprise thinking
Strategy & Portfolio Oversight
- Set direction and oversee execution of capital projects and maintenance programs across portfolio
- Ensure consistency in site assessments, scoping, budgeting, and execution practices
- Drive prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management at the portfolio level
- Lead national and enterprise initiatives that enhance asset value and organizational performance
Vendor Strategy & Governance
- Establish and execute enterprise vendor strategy, procurement, and performance mgmt. frameworks
- Ensure consistency in RFP processes, contracting standards, and vendor selection
- Drive vendor accountability for quality, cost, and service delivery
- Optimize vendor network coverage to meet portfolio demands
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Implement standards, systems, and governance to ensure consistency and scalability
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and execution quality
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure performance and outcomes
- Promote best practices across regions and teams
Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Real Estate to align execution with business priorities
- Ensure timely project delivery while minimizing operational and customer impact
- Provide strategic communication and reporting to executive stakeholders
- Influence decision-making to support enterprise objectives
Technical & External Coordination
- Provide leadership on construction processes, building systems, and project delivery standards
- Ensure adherence to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, and government agencies
- Drive process improvements and standardization across project execution
Emergency & Risk Management
- Lead enterprise disaster response and recovery strategy across the portfolio
- Ensure rapid response and effective restoration of operations
- Minimize customer and revenue impact through proactive planning and execution
- Drive continuous improvement in risk mitigation and resilience strategies
Financial Oversight & Performance Management
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and financial performance across projects and programs
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls at the portfolio level
- Ensure accountability for cost management, reporting accuracy, and ROI
- Monitor and improve KPI performance across regions
Qualifications
Required:
- 15+ years of experience in facilities management or construction project management
- 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports
- Demonstrated success leading multi-level teams in high-volume, multi-site environments
- Strong expertise in capital project delivery, vendor strategy, and portfolio management
- Experience managing complex, multi-trade programs at scale
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across executive and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CMMS systems
- Bachelorβs degree in real estate, facilities mgmt., construction mgmt., or related field preferred
