Role in brief

QIMA is looking for a Mid-weight Brand Designer to help strengthen and scale our brand across global marketing, communications, and commercial touchpoints. This is a hands-on design role for someone who can deliver high-quality day-to-day design while also contributing to the practical systems, templates, and ways of working that help a growing international team move faster and stay consistent.

You will work across brand, digital, social, presentations, press materials, event assets, covers, image editing, and templates. You will partner closely with the Senior Brand Designer on more complex and high-priority projects, while also managing briefs directly with internal stakeholders and growing into a stronger role in intake, prioritisation, and workflow improvement over time.

This role suits a flexible, curious, and reliable designer who is comfortable working from a brief without step-by-step direction, enjoys solving practical design problems, and wants to understand the audience and business goal behind each deliverable. You will be part of a team working across Europe, Americas and Asia, so clear asynchronous communication, cultural awareness, and professional English are essential.

What you will do

Design system & brand consistency execution

  • Collaborate on QIMA’s design system, building and extending templates, guides, and components as new needs arise.

  • Help adapt the design system for new tools, brands, formats, and use cases while keeping assets consistent, practical, and easy for teams to use.

  • Spot what is slow, unclear, or repeated in the design workflow and propose better ways of working.

Day-to-day design delivery

  • Deliver design work across social content, press materials, presentations, covers, image editing, event materials, and other recurring marketing and communications needs.

  • Create clear, polished, on-brand assets that support business priorities such as campaigns, launches, demand generation, and stakeholder communications.

  • Work autonomously from briefs while asking the right questions when requirements, audience, or outcomes are unclear.

Collaboration & stakeholder partnership

  • Partner with the Senior Brand Designer on complex, high-priority projects where concept, execution, and stakeholder alignment matter.

  • Work directly with internal stakeholders on briefs, timelines, feedback, and revisions.

  • Grow into leading design intake and prioritisation over time, helping the team focus on the work with the highest value and urgency.

What we are looking for

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a brand or graphic design role, ideally including in-house or corporate experience.

  • Multidisciplinary design experience across brand, digital, presentations, social, and print.

  • A portfolio that shows how design work connects to business outcomes such as brand launches, campaigns, demand generation, or commercial communications, not just polished individual assets.

  • Able to work autonomously from a brief without step-by-step direction.

Tools & ways of working

  • Core tools: Strong working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva is required.

  • AI-assisted workflows: Fluent using AI-assisted design and content workflows. Claude and ChatGPT are non-negotiable, and you are quick to adopt new tools as the stack evolves.

  • Design systems: Comfortable working inside a design system and helping make it more useful over time.

  • Flexible and solution-oriented: Constraints and shifting priorities do not throw you; you look for practical ways forward.

  • Self-organised and reliable: People can trust your commitments, timelines, and follow-through.

  • Curious and research-minded: You want to understand the audience and the business problem, not just the deliverable.

  • Client-focused and collaborative: You are comfortable talking directly to stakeholders, asking better questions, working well with others, challenging ideas when there is a stronger direction, and raising concerns early.

Nice to Have

  • Video skills, including motion, editing, or short-form content. This is a gap on the team we would love to fill.

  • Any additional language besides professional English is a plus.

Does this describe you? Then we want to hear from you as soon as possible! Apply now with your CV in English and we can write the next chapter of the QIMA story together!
