As the Senior Manager, MLB Pitch Hit & Run, you will drive the growth and strategic expansion of the MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run (PHR) Program.. This individual will serve as the central liaison between RCX Sports, MLB, MiLB, and key third-party partners while overseeing all operations within the MLB PHR Program. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, strategic leader who can scale our programs to reach broader audiences, manage high-profile partnerships, and deliver first-class events that consistently exceed expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth & Partnership Management
- Lead the growth and expansion of Pitch, Hit & Run program, intentionally pursuing new organizations and partners to increase participation, elevate competitive quality, and expand reach among higher-performing athletes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Major League Baseball, managing ongoing communication, alignment, and reporting to ensure all programs are delivered in accordance with shared objectives and brand standards
- Build and nurture relationships with MLB, MiLB, third-party organizations, local leagues, community partners, and event operators to expand program reach and impact
- Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to grow the program into new and underserved communities, building sustainable pipelines for long-term participation growth
- Department & Event Operations
- Overseethe entire MLB PHR Program and all work flowing through the team, ensuring all initiatives are executed in a timely manner and delivered with first-class production standards
- Lead event operations for Regional and National events, ensuring successful execution and enhancing participant experience
- Develop streamlined processes for comprehensive event operations, including staffing, logistics, communication, and data management
- Coordinate with MLB teams to develop strategies for Team Championship events
- Partner with the Senior Director of Events to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for program growth and operations that aligns with Event Operations department goals and company objectives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with RCX Sports’ Marketing, Growth, Program Management, and Executive teams to ensure strategic alignment across all MLB Pitch Hit & Run
- Clearly communicate program goals, growth strategies, and performance insights to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and working toward shared objectives
- Proactively update and inform the Senior Director of Events on all key developments, timelines, and issues related to the property
- Collaborate with the MLB corporate office to conceptualize new event opportunities and implement innovative strategies to increase program participation
- Program Management & Performance
- Create and maintain comprehensive lists of event deliverables and initiatives and track progress towards achieving department goals
- Track, report, and analyze key metrics, including participation rates and community impact
- Create and implement communication plans for local operators to facilitate engagement pre, during, and post event
- Manage the program budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with company goals
- Continuously improve existing event assets and resources
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage a team of direct reports, setting priorities, delegating responsibilities, and reviewing progress
- Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and inspire high performance across the MLB department
- Oversee and monitor team performance, set individual goals, define deliverables, and implement improvement strategies as needed
- Mentor and provide guidance to direct reports
- Support the Senior Director of Events with determining program staffing needs, including full-time, part-time, interns, and independent contractors
- Develop and establish program and staff goals that align with departmental and organizational objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in event management, program development, or sports marketing with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
- Proven experience driving program growth, particularly within sports, youth athletics, or large branded properties
- Strong background in large-scale event planning, with demonstrated experience overseeing complex programs from strategy through execution
- Experience working directly with senior-level partners and executives, including C-suite leaders, and comfortable serving as a primary point of contact for high-profile organizations (MLB, MiLB, etc.)
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations, drive accountability, and inspire high performance
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt as needed and proactively problem-solve challenges before they escalate
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining organized and detail-oriented
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor and third-party relationships
- Passionate about youth sports and community engagement.
- Willingness to travel frequently

- Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday with frequent nights and weekends
- Location: Remote
- Compensation Structure: Expected starting salary - $85,500-$91,000/year. Exempt. Our pay grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus & comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k), Paid Parental Leave, Unlimited PTO, Monthly WellnessExpense Reimbursement and additional voluntary benefits
