We are seeking a digital and social media Senior Director to join our Activation team in London! This role requires a digital and social media expert who can drive strategic growth and innovation across integrated platforms to future proof our capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital, trends, healthcare regulations, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects whilst working across integrated internal teams and client business units spanning Communications/PR, Medical Communications, Advertising, Commercial, and Medical Affairs, as well as with other subject matter experts within the agency.
What You'll Do:
You’re a strategic lead: Experience leading multi and omnichannel digital and engagement strategy development across global, regional, and local client programs.
You’re a healthcare guru: Passion for working in healthcare and experience working with healthcare clients and knowledge of the regulations in the Pharma Industry is essential. Understanding what can and cannot be done on digital platforms, both in the UK, Europe, and worldwide, and the nuanced needed across different client business units is important.
You speak digital and social: X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Search, Programmatic. You name it – you have in-depth knowledge of today’s top digital platforms. Bonus if you have knowledge of gated channels for HCPs (e.g. Sermo, MedShr, G-Med, Medscape).
You know that paid is essential: Counsel clients on best practices incorporating paid into an overall strategy. Display an in-depth understanding of the functionality and strategies behind digital and social media driven campaigns and best practices of all major platforms.
You know your way around metrics and insights: Work with our in-house team of data scientists and analysts to provide competitive insights, drive results, enhance performance and inform future content strategy.
You can command a room: Brainstorm, conceptualise, workshop, and present new social media and digital programs/plans for clients.
You know how to drive new business: Experience generating strategic proposals, working with other business units on RFIs and RFPs, and leading in-person and virtual presentations and pitches.
You’re a trusted advisor: Experience developing strong relationships with senior clients and agency leaders to act as a trusted advisor and business partner.

What You Should Have:
Independent worker, comfortable owning your work and proactively driving projects forward.

Up to 7 years of experience in digital/social media, with some of this served in health, biotech, or pharmaceutical media sectors.
Agency experience required.
College degree (BA or equivalent). A relevant concentration such as Marketing, Communications, Science, or a master's degree is a plus.
Client service experience in an agency environment; experience collaborating effectively internally and externally as part of an integrated team.
Comprehensive understanding of the primary regulatory bodies (such as ABPI, PMCPA, FDA, and FTC) and the social media guidelines that govern biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
Ability to grow digital business and lead/participate in new business pitches.

Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have office locations in cities in the US, UK, and Europe with many employees and clients that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients. We are also actively opening new office locations, so if one opens near you, our Real HART policy will apply.
