Our client is a performance-driven growth marketing agency that partners with high-growth consumer brands to scale their businesses through paid media, analytics, and strategic marketing execution. The agency specializes in helping e-commerce and B2C brands achieve sustainable growth through data-driven campaigns, continuous optimization, and operational excellence. They are seeking a E-commerce Performance Marketing Analyst (Google Ads) to manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns while contributing strategic insights that improve client performance.
The E-commerce Performance Marketing Analyst (Google Ads) will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and scaling Google Ads campaigns while supporting broader paid search strategy through performance analysis, campaign optimization, reporting, and data-driven recommendations. The E-commerce Performance Marketing Analyst (Google Ads) will collaborate with Search Leads and cross-functional teams to improve campaign performance, leverage AI tools to enhance workflows, and ensure paid search initiatives consistently drive measurable business results. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical campaign execution with strategic thinking in a fast-paced agency environment.
Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Manage day-to-day Google Ads campaign operations, including pacing, optimizations, monitoring, and account maintenance.
Execute campaign strategies while understanding the reasoning behind campaign decisions.
Optimize campaigns across keywords, bids, audiences, placements, targeting, and budget allocation.
Monitor account health and proactively identify issues or opportunities.
Maintain organized, scalable, and high-quality campaign structures.
Develop a strong understanding of campaign strategy, customer acquisition goals, and business objectives.
Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and growth.
Identify trends, challenges, and optimization opportunities within client accounts.
Provide recommendations related to keyword strategy, audience targeting, budget allocation, testing initiatives, and campaign structure.
Collaborate closely with Search Leads by presenting data-driven recommendations.
Build and launch Google Ads campaigns aligned with strategic objectives.
Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, and competitive research.
Develop campaign structures based on customer behavior and business goals.
Configure campaigns with appropriate targeting, bidding strategies, ad groups, keywords, extensions, and conversion tracking.
Analyze campaign performance using KPIs including CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, and spend efficiency.
Maintain daily and weekly campaign pacing trackers.
Support client reporting with accurate performance insights.
Identify successful initiatives, underperforming areas, and recommended next steps.
Translate campaign data into actionable recommendations.
Conduct ongoing Search Query Report analysis.
Identify negative keyword opportunities to improve traffic quality.
Analyze keyword performance and recommend expansion strategies.
Continuously improve campaign efficiency through search intent optimization.
Monitor conversion tracking accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
Review Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and platform reporting.
Identify and communicate tracking issues with internal teams.
Ensure reporting accuracy for informed decision-making.
Analyze historical ad performance to identify effective messaging.
Support search ad copy testing and optimization initiatives.
Recommend messaging improvements based on customer intent and campaign performance.
Collaborate with creative teams to improve campaign outcomes.
Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms to improve efficiency.
Apply AI to research, reporting, analysis, copy development, and workflow optimization.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive marketing processes.
3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
Experience working with DTC e-commerce brands or B2C lead generation campaigns.
Experience analyzing campaign performance and implementing optimization recommendations.
Experience building, launching, and managing paid search campaigns.
Experience preparing performance reports and maintaining ongoing account improvements.
Strong expertise in Google Ads campaign management and optimization.
Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Familiarity with Google Merchant Center.
Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and performance tracking.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
Strong understanding of paid search strategy and optimization.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Shopify and Google Ads integrations.
Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Experience managing campaigns across Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, or X Ads.
Experience creating or managing Google Ads scripts.
Experience with e-commerce tracking, product feeds, or marketplace advertising.
Google Ads campaigns are consistently optimized and continue improving over time.
Campaign recommendations are supported by strong analysis and strategic thinking.
Performance issues are proactively identified and resolved.
Client reporting is accurate, organized, and supports informed decision-making.
Strategic understanding continues to grow alongside technical expertise.
Campaign performance improves through ongoing testing and optimization.
Internal teams rely on the Paid Search Media Buyer to manage campaigns with ownership and accountability.
