SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.
We’re looking for a Commissions Specialist to join our team in India to support the accurate, timely, and well-documented administration of SentiLink’s commission/bonus plans.
This role sits within Revenue Accounting and will report to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting. This role will be responsible for maintaining the operational data and documentation that supports our commission process, including deal entry and review in Salesforce, participant setup and maintenance in CaptivateIQ, and the ongoing review of commission-related inputs, exceptions, and outputs.
This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role for someone with a strong accounting or finance operations background who is fluent in reading and interpreting English-language commercial documents, including contracts, order forms, amendments, renewals, sales compensation plans, and bonus plans. Prior commissions experience is not needed, but the applicant should be comfortable working with structured financial data, understanding commercial terms, following documented processes, and knowing when to escalate questions or exceptions.
This role is based remotely in India. Some overlap with US Pacific Time zone working hours will be required, but the role is not expected to be fully aligned to US hours.
Administer recurring commission operations, including maintaining accurate deal, participant, and commission-related data across Salesforce, CaptivateIQ, Google Sheets, DocuSign, and NetSuite.
Review sales documents, order forms, amendments, renewals, and related commercial documentation to understand relevant commission terms and ensure commission-related data is entered accurately.
Enter and maintain deal data in Salesforce for commission eligibility, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Maintain participant rosters, plan documentation, acknowledgments, and related records in CaptivateIQ and other systems.
Support the preparation and review of commission outputs, including checking that system-generated calculations, statements, and related data are complete and accurate.
Manually reperform calculations to ensure that systems are working as intended.
Review exceptions, discrepancies, disputes, and approval items, resolving straightforward issues and escalating more complex matters to the appropriate reviewer.
Respond to basic commission-related questions from stakeholders and participants, while escalating questions that require interpretation, judgment, or approval.
Help maintain clear documentation, standard operating procedures, and participant-facing guidance for commission administration processes.
Support a strong control environment by ensuring commission processes are well-documented, reviewable, and consistently followed.
Over time, support additional Revenue Accounting and revenue reporting activities, potentially including ARR reporting and related data quality work.
Commission administration is accurate, timely, and well-documented.
Deal, participant, and commission-related data is complete, reliable, and easy to review.
Finance and Sales stakeholders trust the underlying commission data and processes.
Exceptions, questions, disputes, and approvals are handled accurately and transparently, with appropriate escalation when needed.
Commission documentation, SOPs, and participant-facing materials are clear and consistently maintained.
Processes become more scalable, less manual, and easier to review over time.
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, revenue operations, sales operations, contract administration, or a similar detail-oriented business operations role.
Expert-level fluency in reading and understanding English-language commercial documents, including contracts, order forms, renewals, amendments, and related sales documentation.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through, especially when working with financial data and sensitive compensation information.
Comfort working with accounting and finance concepts, including a basic understanding of debits, credits, and financial records.
Ability to operate mostly independently after onboarding, while working within a review process and knowing when to escalate issues.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring processes, documentation, deadlines, and follow-ups.
Clear and professional written communication skills, including the ability to respond to basic participant questions and document process steps clearly.
Experience using business systems such as Salesforce, CaptivateIQ, Google Sheets / Excel, DocuSign, NetSuite, or similar tools.
High discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential compensation and commercial information.
Prior commissions experience is helpful, but not required.
