SEON is the command center for fraud prevention and AML compliance, helping thousands of companies worldwide stop fraud, reduce risk and protect revenue. Powered by 900+ real-time, first-party data signals, SEON enriches customer profiles, flags suspicious behavior and streamlines compliance workflows - all from one place. SEON provides richer data, more flexible and transparent analysis, and faster time to value than any other provider on the market. We’ve helped companies reduce fraud by 95% and achieve 32x ROI, and we’re growing fast, thanks to our partnerships with some of the world’s most ambitious digital brands like Revolut, Wise, and Bilt.
The Developer Experience team exists to make SEON's engineers faster, less frustrated, and more confident shipping. We build the internal tools, automation, and infrastructure that other teams depend on every day.
This is the first senior engineering hire on the DevEx team, which means you'll have real influence over what gets built, how the team operates, and what "great" looks like at SEON. You'll work across Platform, SRE, and product engineering for designing golden path solutions, shaping CI/CD and GitOps workflows, and building internal software from scratch when that's what the problem needs.
If you're someone who gets more satisfaction from a tool that saves 50 engineers an hour a week than from a user-facing feature, and you're already using AI to work in ways most teams haven't caught up to yet, this role might be a good match for you.
This role offers flexibility and can be based anywhere in Europe with a remote setup, including occasional travel to our other offices.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Design and build internal tools and services that meaningfully improve how engineers work (from CLI tools and developer portals to lightweight internal apps)
Shape and improve our CI/CD and GitOps infrastructure, including GitHub Actions pipelines and ArgoCD workflows on Kubernetes
Define and maintain golden path solutions for provisioning, deployments, and environment setup that teams can adopt without hand-holding
Identify and systematically eliminate operational toil across engineering
Integrate AI-assisted workflows and LLM-based tooling into how the team builds and operates and actively bring that capability to the tools and solutions you ship to other teams
Partner with Platform and SRE teams on infrastructure automation, and with FinOps on cost visibility and optimization tooling
Partner with the Security team to embed compliance automation into the delivery pipeline (policy as code, automated checks, guardrails that scale)
Document and measure the impact of what you build and use that signal to decide what to tackle next
WHAT YOU’ll BRING:
5+ years in software, platform, or DevOps engineering roles
Strong coding skills across at least one of Node.js, Python or Bash; comfortable writing production-quality internal software, not just scripts
Fluency with AI-assisted development - you use LLM-based tools daily and have a feel for where they accelerate work and where they don't
Hands-on experience with Github Actions or similar CI/CD systems
Infrastructure as Code experience, Terraform preferred
Solid cloud fundamentals (IAM, networking, compute, managed services), AWS experience preferred
Hands-on Kubernetes experience, EKS preferred
A builder's instinct: you'd rather fix the underlying problem once than patch it repeatedly
(AMAZING IF YOU ALSO HAVE):
Experience with workflow orchestration or data pipelines
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling
Exposure to high-scale or high-growth engineering environments
Interest in shaping how a DevEx function is built from the ground up
