Specialist, PPE certification

We are looking for a new SPECIALIST for our PPE services in Helsinki.

The PPE services team focuses on testing and certification of personal protective equipment and verifying the compliance of products and production with laws, PPE regulations and applicable standards. Certification unit monitors and contributes that safe products are placed on the market.

As a Specialist, you will be focusing on the product certification activities of personal protective equipment, especially protective clothing and gloves. Having a good understanding of the product compliance, you will make sure that the manufacturer's technical documentation regarding the product is sufficient and ensures that the product meets the requirements set for it by the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation.

You will respond to various customer technical enquiries within your product area and maintain operations in collaboration with other PPE experts. You will handle PPE client samples, including visual inspections and measurements, so curiosity and willingness to learn them are essential.

In addition, you may sometimes be required to participate in standardization-related trainings and discussions together with other certification experts.

Success as a Specialist in the PPE services requires a basic understanding of personal protective equipment and its conditions of use. Familiarity with the certification process, such as product evaluation and documentation review, would be helpful in this role. Knowledge of materials, textile structures, and the requirements and manufacturing methods set for protective clothing and gloves, is considered an advantage.

We expect you to have a university of applied sciences degree or a college degree relevant to the role, for example in textile technology or the textile and clothing sector. Previous experience in product certification activities within this field is considered an advantage.

Success in this role requires an independent and self-initiative approach. You are used to prioritizing, organizing, and flexibly adaptable in changing situations. You have good interpersonal and communicative skills, good in both writing and speaking fluent English and preferably good Finnish. You have good IT skills including MS office experience and willingness to learn and adapt with AI tools for daily activities.

We hope you can start the work at the beginning of November. The salary range for this position is based on your previous relevant experience and can be between 3400 €/month to 4100 €/month.
