Role Description:
ShipBob is a global logistics technology company powering e-commerce fulfillment for thousands of brands. Our People team manages the workforce infrastructure that keeps ShipBob running, and we’re ready to fundamentally change how that infrastructure works.
We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer III (AI) embedded directly within the People team. This is not a traditional engineering role. It is a role for someone who knows enterprise HR systems from the inside, has built AI-assisted automations that run in production, and has the process instincts and data governance discipline to transform how an HR function operates, responsibly. This role reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Systems.
You will spend your first 60 days listening, mapping, and diagnosing. Then you will build. You will own the full lifecycle of every automation, from workflow map to production deployment to handoff documentation, working closely with our Central Data team and Legal to ensure sensitive data is handled with the care it deserves. This role reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Systems.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $134,162 - $223,603. In addition to base salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company’s discretionary bonus plan based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
