Description:
The Regional Vice President, Strategic Accounts at Slingshot Biosciences will report to the SVP, Global Sales and is responsible for developing and managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring the success of client engagements. This individual will act as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, working to understand client needs, deliver solutions, and achieve sales targets. The Regional Vice President, Strategic Accounts will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.
The Regional Vice President, Strategic Accounts must be a results-oriented, driven sales professional with experience managing complex accounts and cultivating long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in sales and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the New England territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies that align with overall company goals.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold outreach, and lead generation activities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in the biotech, life sciences, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical sectors, leveraging industry knowledge and expertise to navigate complex consultative sales opportunities to drive sales initiatives
- Conduct sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the value of Slingshot Biosciences’ solutions.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients in the New England territory to drive repeat business and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and challenges are addressed.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services to existing clients.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the New England market, industry trends, and key competitors.
- Maintain an understanding of customer needs, challenges, and decision-making processes within the New England territory.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute localized campaigns that target key prospects in the region.
- Communicate client feedback and insights to the marketing team to inform future product improvements.
- Accurately maintain sales pipeline data and provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and forecasts.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to ensure sales goals are met and adjust strategies as necessary to optimize results.
- Attend regional industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and foster relationships with potential clients.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity to position the company’s offerings effectively within the marketplace.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the biopharma industry
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets and successfully managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; ability to translate complex solutions into compelling value propositions.
- Strong network of contacts in the life sciences and biopharma industry in the New England area
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel across the New England area to meet with clients and attend industry events as necessary, and to travel to company sites to attend trainings and other meetings.
- Highly motivated, independent, and able to manage a large territory and engage in account planning to optimize face-to-face selling time.
- Adept at documenting accounts, contacts and opportunities in CRM, as well as processing leads and forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of biotech trends surrounding CGT and experience selling into key accounts.
- Experience structuring and closing complex sales (custom products, solutions, services) into the biopharma sector with a demonstrated track record of success (multi-year agreements).
Nice-to-Have (but not required):
- Knowledge of Flow cytometry usage in Cell therapy processes.
- Startup experience strongly recommended.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 - $190,000 + benefits.
