Our client, a high-growth AI-native B2B SaaS company, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist in the search for a Director of Corporate, Employment & Legal Operations. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the General Counsel and serving as a key member of the legal leadership team. The attorney will manage one legal operations professional and oversee the company's corporate legal function, global employment legal matters, and Legal Operations while partnering closely with Finance, People, and Systems & AI Transformation leadership.

This is a broad, high-impact opportunity for a seasoned corporate lawyer with strong employment law experience who thrives operating both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a central role in governance, compliance, corporate transactions, legal operations, and scaling the company's legal infrastructure globally. The position is remote, with periodic in-person offsites as part of the company culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate legal function — corporate governance, securities law compliance, global equity programs, international subsidiary management, and corporate transactions; support board and committee preparation and documentation.
• Oversee global employment legal matters, partner with the People team to build scalable employment policies, templates, and processes, and advise on sensitive employee relations matters.
• Manage and develop the Legal Operations function, including direct oversight of the Legal Operations Manager and responsibility for legal tooling, processes, and operational strategy.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting on domestic and international tax, audit, intercompany, and subsidiary governance; support Compensation Committee and Audit Committee matters.
• Lead corporate transactions, serve as primary point of contact with outside counsel, and ensure effective project management, timely executive updates, and cost-efficient use of external legal resources.
• Advise on emerging legal and policy issues relating to AI systems use, regulatory developments, compliance, and risk management; drive cross-functional collaboration across leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of legal experience, with significant corporate law experience including securities, equity programs, capital markets, corporate governance, M&A, and international subsidiary management. Experience supporting or preparing for a liquidity event is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated employment law experience with the ability to build scalable processes and policies; comfort advising on sensitive employee relations matters.
• Ideally, experience at both large and small companies, with the ability to operate effectively across each.
• Operationally minded systems thinker, able to lead the Legal Operations function and drive infrastructure improvements; prior in-house experience required, at a company of similar growth stage strongly preferred.
• Excellent judgment, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to operate independently across multiple high-priority matters and jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated AI proficiency, including experience using AI tools to improve drafting, research, and operational efficiency, and the ability to build and develop teams over time.
• J.D. degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

Compensation for candidates living in San Francisco, New York, or Seattle is targeted at a total cash range of $314,600 – $393,400, with a meaningful equity grant and benefits. Compensation for candidates residing in other markets is targeted at a total cash range of $273,600 – $342,000 with equity and benefits. Overall compensation will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, years of directly relevant experience, and geographic location.
