Sona·about 10 hours ago
3 billion people across the world work in frontline jobs. Yet, despite rising costs and staff shortages, frontline organisations are still left to choose between paper, Excel, and WhatsApp, or decade-old workforce management solutions to take care of the most important part of their businesses - their people.
Enter Sona: the next generation of AI-native, frontline workforce management. We’ve built an end-to-end platform covering Scheduling, HR, Payroll, and Communications that gives the largest frontline organisations everything they need to staff more intelligently and empower their teams.
In 4 years, we’ve already made a deep impact on the lives of over 100k frontline workers and the operation of their organisations, grown the team to 120+, and secured over $50M in funding from notable VC’s, including Felicis, Northzone, Gradient Ventures (Google), SpeedInvest, Antler, and Notion Capital, plus notable angels like Tom Blomfield (Monzo).
It’s a hugely exciting time to be joining the team as we’re still small enough that you’ll have a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory and culture, yet large enough to have a great structure, experienced leaders and world-class benefits in place. More on working at Sona here.
About the Role
We're hiring our first brand designer to own and evolve Sona's visual identity through our next phase of growth.
We need someone to take ownership of the brand and bring it to life across every touchpoint, executing at pace, iterating based on what works, and building the systems that let us scale without losing quality.
We're looking for someone with strong brand experience and enough business understanding to visually represent the benefits and use cases of our product. A strategic thinker with a natural "just do it" attitude who prides themselves on both speed of production and obsession with detail.
"Founding" means you'll have real ownership over brand direction and execution. You'll be designing, animating, shooting, and editing, with a clear path to building and leading a creative team as we scale.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve Sona's visual identity across everything: website, product marketing, sales materials, social, events.
Build the visual systems, guidelines, and templates that will scale as we grow, including a design system in Google Slides that makes it easy for anyone to create on-brand presentations.
Create assets across web, digital, print, and video. Produce motion graphics and animations.
Handle photography and video production for campaigns and customer stories. Experiment constantly with AI tools to move faster.
Requirements
Strong brand experience. You've built or evolved brand identities before. You understand how visual systems work at scale and how to create consistency without rigidity.
Business understanding. You can translate product benefits and use cases into visual stories. You're not just making things look good—you're helping people understand why they should care.
AI-native workflow. You're fluent in Midjourney, Runway, Figma AI, Adobe Firefly, and whatever launched last week. You see AI as a force multiplier that lets you move fast without compromising quality.
Real versatility. You move between brand design, graphic design, animation, photography, and video editing. You don't wait for someone else to handle the bits you don't fancy.
Speed and detail. You pride yourself on both. You can turn things around quickly and you sweat the small stuff. Kerning matters. Frame rates matter.
B2B experience. You've worked in B2B SaaS before, ideally with customers in industries like hospitality, retail, healthcare, or logistics.
