Tacto has built a procurement platform that 300+ manufacturers in DACH rely on daily. The engine is working - strong retention, growing pipeline, clear product-market fit in our core segment. Now we need to figure out what's next - before we have to. This role owns Tacto's growth beyond DACH. New geographies, adjacent verticals, upmarket segments. Your job is to take a strategic bet, validate it with real revenue, and turn it into a repeatable motion the team can scale.
Validate New Markets: Pick the highest-potential expansion opportunity (Geo/Vertical/Upmarket), run rigorous market sizing, execute the first sales cycles end-to-end
Close Deals: Own pipeline building from scratch - cold outreach, discovery, demos, negotiations. No BDR support. You are the BDR
Build Playbooks: Turn messy learnings into repeatable systems - pricing, messaging, sales cycle, objection handling
Cross-functional Orchestration: Work with Product on feature gaps, Sales on handover, Marketing on messaging, CX on delivery
3+ years in high-performance environments (Tier 1 consulting, VC-backed startup or founder)
0-to-1 execution: comfortable building your pipeline without support infrastructure
Structural thinking: you don't just solve problems, you build systems others can scale
Extreme ownership: you find solutions to blockers, you don't report them
Fluent German and English (other languages a plus)
This role is for someone who finds energy in building from nothing - the research phase, the first cold message, the awkward early demos where the pitch isn't polished yet. If you need a defined process, a team around you, or clear KPIs from day one, this will feel frustrating. If you like operating in the fog and making it clearer for everyone who comes after you - this is your role.
Real ownership: 20% strategy with the founding team, 80% in the field. You define the where, the how, and the pace. This isn't a "run the playbook" hire, it's a "write the playbook" one
Strong foundation to build on: 300+ customers in DACH, product-market fit proven, backed by Sequoia and Index. You're not validating whether Tacto works - you're validating where else it works
The team: 100+ people, founded by ex-BCG and TUM/Berkeley alumni. You'd work directly with Josias, Johannes, and Adrian.
