Jeeves has grown fast, and our core product — cards, cross-border payments, and spend management — now serves thousands of businesses across three continents. That growth has outpaced the consistency and craft of our core user experience. We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to change that: to raise the bar on quality, coherence, and usability across the flows our customers touch every day.
You’ll own design for our core product surfaces end to end — from discovery and research through shipped, measured outcomes — working directly with product leadership, PMs, and engineers. You’ll be the voice of the customer in a payments platform with real complexity: multiple currencies, multiple countries, and finance teams who depend on us to get it right. Our Design team’s mission is to provide a voice of empathy and develop the most engaging user experiences within the Jeeves product, and this role is at the center of that mission.
This is a hands-on senior IC role, not a management position. You’ll operate with high autonomy inside a globally distributed team — we’re looking for someone who moves work forward independently, not someone who needs a design manager to set direction. Jeeves is an AI-forward company, and we expect our designers to work that way too: using AI tools daily to explore more directions, prototype earlier, and synthesize research faster — and helping define what AI-assisted design looks like at Jeeves.
Design across the full Jeeves platform, from mobile to desktop, with a focus on our core card, payments, and spend management flows
Own projects end to end: framing the problem, exploring solutions, shipping with engineering, and measuring outcomes
Elevate the craft and consistency of the core product experience — identify UX debt and drive a plan to pay it down
Promote the product vision through design exploration, documentation, and presentations to leadership
Use AI tools throughout your workflow — generative exploration, AI prototyping, and LLM-assisted copy and documentation — to test more directions faster without sacrificing craft
Apply payments and fintech domain expertise to design for real-world financial complexity, including AI-powered product experiences within Jeeves (intelligent expense review, automation, insights)
Use and extend Jeeves’s existing design system and standards
Identify gaps and inconsistencies across product surfaces — using AI tooling to audit at scale — and drive systematic fixes
Establish design principles and patterns that other designers and engineers can build on, including patterns for AI-driven features (confidence, explainability, human review)
Plan and run your own research — including personally recruiting participants when needed
Use AI to accelerate research synthesis and analysis — while keeping human judgment on what customers actually need
Validate design decisions with customers before and after shipping
Advocate the customer perspective across Jeeves, grounded in evidence
Partner daily with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and product marketers
Create and collaborate on the product vision with core product leadership, reporting directly into it
Influence design practices and team operations within a distributed, global team — including how the design team adopts AI in its workflows
Participate in cross-functional interviews and help raise the design bar in hiring
5+ years of professional product design experience, with senior-level scope on multiple high-impact projects you were directly responsible for
Experience designing for fintech, payments, or financial services products
A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership: problem framing, exploration, shipped outcomes — not just final screens
Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward independently in ambiguous environments, without heavy direction
Working fluency with AI tools in your design process — demonstrated by how you actually use them today for exploration, prototyping, research synthesis, or documentation (be ready to show this, not just name tools)
Experience working within and improving design systems at scale
Hands-on research experience, including recruiting your own participants and synthesizing findings into design decisions
Track record of close collaboration with PM and Engineering through to shipped product
Professional working proficiency in English
Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem — networks, issuers, partners, and how platforms like Jeeves differentiate within it
Experience designing for B2B or finance-team users (controllers, CFOs, ops teams)
Experience designing AI-powered product experiences — copilots, agents, or intelligent automation — especially patterns for trust, explainability, and human oversight in financial products
Experience working in a globally distributed product organization across time zones
Experience mentoring other designers or shaping design team practices
Native or professional English and Portuguese, Spanish preferred
