Audio Quality Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Review recorded audio files for technical quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Analyze recordings for:
  • Noise floor
  • Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
  • RMS levels
  • LUFS / loudness
  • Peak levels
  • Clipping and distortion
  • Frequency spectrum
  • Verify that recordings meet the required technical specifications:
    • 48 kHz sample rate
    • 24-bit depth
    • Mono WAV format
    • Identify technical issues and flag recordings that do not meet the required quality standards.
    • Perform detailed audio analysis using Adobe Audition.
    • Verify the quality, completeness, and duration of processed recording hours.
    • Maintain accurate QC records and quality reports.
    • Track and report recurring technical issues or patterns affecting recording quality.
    • Approve compliant recording hours for further processing and delivery to the client.
    • Process audio based on the actual volume of recordings received.

Key Requirements

Hands-on experience with Adobe Audition.
Practical experience in professional audio recording, editing, or quality control.
Strong understanding of audio technical parameters and quality standards.
Ability to analyze and interpret:
• RMS
• LUFS
• SNR
• Peak levels
• Frequency spectrum
• Noise floor
• Clipping
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with strict technical specifications and quality criteria.
• Good organizational skills and ability to maintain clear QC records.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working with varying volumes of audio depending on project needs.
