The Manager, Talent Recruitment – Brooklyn Selection plays a critical role in ensuring our Brooklyn schools are staffed with the exceptional educators and staff members who make that impact possible. This role leads recruitment efforts across the Brooklyn region, partnering with school and regional leaders to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent while developing a team of Talent Recruiters. The ideal candidate is energized by building strong partnerships, improving hiring systems, and helping schools meet their staffing goals in service of Uncommon's mission of preparing every student for college and beyond.

Compensation: The full compensation range for this role is $107,100–$126,000. Typically, new hires who fully meet the qualifications and experience expectations for the role will start at or near $110,300. Starting compensation below this reflects candidates with less experience or qualifications. Offers near the top end of the range are reserved for candidates who significantly exceed the qualifications, bringing extensive experience and specialized expertise beyond what is listed. Compensation determinations consider relevant experience and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Additionally, because we value internal growth and tenure, current staff members are not subject to salary caps within this range.
Work Environment: Uncommon is an in-person organization, with a commitment of at least three days each week at our Central Office in downtown Manhattan (100 Church Street), with frequent travel to our Brooklyn schools. This role requires regular travel throughout the Brooklyn region to support hiring and recruitment activities, including school visits, interviews, hiring events, and meetings with school and regional leaders. Occasional travel to other Uncommon Schools locations or events may also be required. While the role is generally conducted during standard business hours, this salaried leadership position requires flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or other non-standard hours to support hiring timelines, candidate needs, and organizational priorities.
