Job Role: The position's primary function is to work on the Life Actuarial Projects in the area of Product Governance. This involves Performing Valuation for all product lines using any of the actuarial tools like GGY AXIS, Prophet etc. Need to setup the control mechanism and able review team members work and provide feedback and guide through. Candidates should possess sound actuarial knowledge. Candidate should able liaison with client on all deliverables. He should be responsible for SLA deliverables that are agreed between both the parties. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Actuarial Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Engineering etc.Member of Institute of Actuaries of India /Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.Actuarial Exam credits of 8 exams preferable. Experience: 8-10 Years experience of working in Life Actuarial Teams in Captive/ Third party Offshoring units and Consulting companies in Actuarial Projects, Pricing, Reporting and Developing & Valuation etc. Exposure to UK Life Insurance market preferred. Actuarial Skills: 1.Good understanding of Life insurance products ( NP, WP, UWP and UL ) specifically UK market products, its features, Terms and Conditions. 2.Knowledge of pricing of UL products, Model development and valuation 3.Understanding of UK Market regulations 4.Familiarity of Policy Admin Systems and the guidelines adopted in maintaining and updating policy information 5.Understanding of policy data extracted from Admin systems and conducting investigations to ensure the correctness and completeness of data Should have able to demonstrate skills on IFRS, SII and other actuarial regulatory requirements. Other Skills: Good MS Excel, VBA and Modelling skills, Project Management, Communication and System testing skills Job Responsibilities Execution of Actuarial projects as per agreed timelines, level of accuracy and terms and conditions. Guiding and supporting junior colleagues in the projects and ensuring the actuarial work is carried out as per Technical Actuarial Standards (TAS) Clear communication with stakehoders, understanding requirements and meeting their expectations Checking/Review of work produced by juniors and signing off before submission to client Ensuring that the actuarial work carried out is meeting the required level of accuracy specified by clients Presenting results to client’s actuarial team Cross-training and backup planning of team members. Conduct training for new hires on the systems and processes.
