The Digital Platforms and Content Manager will oversee all of California WFP's public-facing digital communications and design strategy during an exciting period of growth for our California chapter. This includes managing CA WFP’s social media accounts, website, and developing digital and creative content to engage our membership, partners, and candidates.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cultivating and growing online communities, understands the role of visual design in movements, and knows what it takes to break through online noise in 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day posting across California WFP social media platforms.
- Draft and schedule social media content.
- Coordinate posting priorities with California leadership and campaign staff.
- Monitor platform activity and respond or elevate issues as appropriate.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms.
- Occasional on the ground coverage of WFP events and activations.
- Staying up to date on trends & algorithm changes
- Create graphics for social media, organizing campaigns, endorsements, events, and rapid response communications.
- Produce simple motion graphics and short-form video content when needed.
- Prepare digital assets using existing templates and branding standards.
- Assist with drafting digital communications, including email graphics and promotional materials.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure communications support current electoral and organizing priorities.
- Help maintain an organized library of digital assets.
- Produce rapid-response graphics and social media content during the election period.
- Support communications needs for endorsements, volunteer recruitment, voter engagement, and campaign events.
- Assist with occasional evening or weekend work as required by campaign activities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years preferred.
- Experience managing organizational social media accounts with high visibility.
- Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar platforms.
- Ability to produce polished visual content under tight deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced political environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or nonprofit communications.
- Basic video editing experience.
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and other social media management tools.
- Familiarity with EveryAction, VAN, or similar organizing tools.
