Senior Media Planner (B2B Strategy)
Wpromote·about 2 hours ago
At Wpromote, our Senior Media Planners turn B2B strategy into media plans that perform. Reporting to the Senior Director, B2B Strategy, this role owns the media plan for a portfolio of B2B clients: building the channel mix, managing budgets and pacing, and translating strategic direction into recommendations the activation teams can execute. You'll work alongside a strategist who sets the overall direction and leads the client relationship, and you'll be the person who makes sure the plan behind that direction is sound, data-backed, and moving.
B2B media is different. Buying committees, long sales cycles, small target account lists, and success measured in pipeline rather than purchases all change how you plan. The ideal candidate understands that, or is eager to learn it, and enjoys connecting media data to business outcomes. You're analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the numbers in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
You Will Be
- Building and stewarding paid media plans across Paid Search, Paid Social (LinkedIn, Meta), and Programmatic (Display, Video, CTV, Audio), from initial planning through in-flight reallocations, optimizations, and incremental investment scenarios
- Analyzing performance data to guide cross-channel budget allocation across the funnel, from awareness through demand capture
- Developing recommendations on media mix, audience and account targeting, creative strategy, KPIs, and measurement frameworks in partnership with the strategist
- Conducting audience, competitive, and market research using tools such as 6sense or Demandbase, Pathmatics, GWI, Resonate, and platform insights
- Partnering with activation, creative, and analytics teams to keep strategy and execution aligned
- Working with client marketing, sales, and RevOps teams on ICP definition, target account lists, and how media-sourced leads and accounts flow into their systems
- Monitoring pacing and performance trends, flagging risks and opportunities early
- Leading testing and learning initiatives across channels and documenting what the team learns
- Developing cross-channel performance forecasts to set expectations and inform planning
- Delivering insights, performance updates, and recommendations through client-facing presentations, reports, and planning documents
- Managing relationships with media vendors and platform partners: evaluating new partners, negotiating rates and added value, and holding vendors accountable to performance
- Proactively bringing clients recommendations on new vendors, channels, and formats worth testing, with a clear point of view on fit and expected impact
- Staying on top of platform incentives, rebates, credits, and beta programs, and making sure clients take advantage of the ones they qualify for
- Contributing to new business efforts, including RFP responses and prospect audits
- Building expertise in client industries, buyer journeys, and the B2B media landscape
- Using AI tools to speed up research, analysis, and plan development, with judgment about where they help and where they don't
- Staying current on emerging platforms, B2B media trends, and best practices
You Must Have
- 3-5 years of experience in paid media planning, paid media management, or digital strategy in an agency or B2B marketing environment
- Multi-channel experience across Paid Search, Paid Social, and/or Programmatic platforms including Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta, DV360, or similar
- Demonstrated experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns across both brand and demand objectives
- Strong understanding of full-funnel media planning, audience strategy, and performance measurement across the customer journey
- Experience partnering with analytics teams on tracking, reporting frameworks, and dashboards
- Familiarity with attribution methodologies and measurement frameworks
- Experience working directly with media vendors and platform reps, including evaluating proposals and negotiating terms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides, and media reporting platforms
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities at once
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with ABM platforms (6sense, Demandbase) or intent data
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo) and how media performance connects to lead and opportunity data
- Experience supporting large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders
- Experience contributing to integrated media strategy and campaign testing frameworks
