POSITION SUMMARY:
The Advanced Vocational English Case Manager supports refugees and immigrants in achieving long-term career goals by providing advanced vocational English tutoring, coaching, and coordinated small-group instruction. This role works collaboratively with program staff to assess participant needs, deliver targeted instruction, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with program requirements.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until September 29th, 2026 and contingent upon funding extension.
This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week, mostly in office, with occasional work from home.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advanced vocational English tutoring and coaching to individuals and small groups.
- Coordinate and facilitate small-group instruction aligned with participant career plans.
- Develop, adapt, and implement vocational English curriculum and learning materials.
- Participate in participant screenings, enrollments, and career planning alongside program staff.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate readiness for education, training, and employment pathways.
- Maintain accurate, timely case notes, records, and reports across multiple database systems.
- Support digital literacy instruction and manage computer loaner programs as needed.
- Supervise and support interns or volunteers when applicable.
- Participate in required department and all-staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Knowledge of vocational English instruction, adult learning principles, and working with non-native English speakers.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
- Ability to document services accurately and maintain organized, compliant case records.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing program needs.
- Cultural humility and ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
- Alignment with World Relief’s mission, values, and Christian identity; ability to affirm Statement of Faith.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in TESOL/TESL or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a professional, administrative, nonprofit, education, or human services setting; case management–related training or certifications preferred.
