We are seeking a strategic, senior, and business‑oriented Finance & Revenue Director to lead the financial operations of our Spanish branch and oversee the Pricing function for Spain and Portugal. This is a key leadership role that requires an experienced professional with a strong financial background, excellent regulatory understanding, and the ability to guide a team while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Reporting to the Country CEO and leading a local finance and pricing team based in Barcelona, your key responsibilities will include driving business‑oriented initiatives, contributing with revenue‑focused insights and bringing forward new ideas to support growth.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Lead all financial operations, including cash flow management, financial controls, reporting, and team development.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure full compliance with Banco de España and other regulatory requirements, including timely and accurate regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
- Tax Supervision: Oversee all tax filings (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.) and ensure alignment with local tax regulations.
- Audit Management: Act as the overall responsible for internal and external audits, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Pricing Oversight (Spain & Portugal): Supervise the pricing team and steer the overall pricing strategy for both countries, ensuring profitability, competitiveness, and process efficiency. Collaborate with Risk, Marketing, and central teams to align pricing decisions with business goals.
Required Sills & Experience:
- Senior Financial Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally within regulated financial services and/or Big4 (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG), with proven exposure to regulatory reporting, tax obligations, audits and oversight of finance teams. Experience in scale‑ups or fast‑growing environments is a strong plus.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, ACCA) is highly valued.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong financial and analytical skills, with solid command of Excel and familiarity with financial management systems. Experience working with dashboards or performance tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage, especially for pricing oversight.
- Business‑oriented mindset: with a strong ability to understand the business and consistently drive positive impact across teams and outcomes.
- Attention to Detail & Compliance Mindset: High level of rigor and accuracy, ensuring full compliance in financial reporting, tax submissions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Thinking & Adaptability: Ability to think strategically while remaining hands‑on when needed. Comfortable leading teams in dynamic, fast‑paced environments, driving continuous improvement and supporting both finance and pricing initiatives.
