What You'll Do
Drive Meaningful Insights
•Lead analytics projects that inform global brand strategy, sales performance, and multichannel marketing.
•Deliver timely, accurate, and innovative insights to brand teams, affiliates, and cross-functional partners.
Be a part of the Center of Excellence
•Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in business analytics and help build AbbVie's analytics center of excellence.
•Introduce new, leading-edge tools and methodologies that push our capabilities forward.
Collaborate Across Enterprise
•Partner with Brand, Digital, Business Intelligence, Data Strategy, and IT teams to launch and scale new capabilities.
•Work with external data vendors (IQVIA, ZS, and others) to ensure AbbVie has access to the best data and services.
Solve Complex Problems
•Translate business questions into smart analytic solutions using big data, AI, ML, and modern platforms.
•Proactively identify data and operational issues and communicate impacts to senior leadership.
Engage & Influence
•Build strong relationships with global, area, affiliate, and brand leadership.
•Facilitate collaborative discussions, gather feedback, and deliver follow-up solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
•A genuine passion for data, analytics, and solving business challenges
•8–12+ years of analytics experience, including 3–5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
•Hands-on experience with pharma data (sales data, promotional data, real-world data)
•Familiarity with data and service vendors such as IQVIA, Veeva, ZS
•Strong project management skills with the ability to lead in a matrixed, global environment
•Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization
•Strategic mindset with sharp attention to detail
•Knowledge of emerging technologies: AI, ML, Big Data, Data Ontology
Education
•Bachelor's degree required
•Advanced degree (PhD, MA, MBA) preferred, especially with a focus on applied business analytics or data science
Nice to Have
•Proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL
•Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar analytics / reporting platforms
