We’re a workplace consultancy that partners with founder-led, growing small to mid-sized companies who are bold enough to prioritize strong people systems—early. That’s where you come in.
This is a part-time contract role where you’ll act as a fractional Recruiting Partner across our clients—building, refining, and executing talent acquisition processes that help teams grow with the right people. You’ll drive meaningful, strategic hiring initiatives while staying hands-on with sourcing, screening, and managing the full recruitment cycle. And you’ll have the support of our Bloom collective beside you.

At Bloom, we’re not your typical HR consultancy. We work with founder-led, purpose-driven companies who’ve made the smart choice to prioritize their people early. Most of our clients are small to mid-sized businesses (think 10–150 employees) that know building an intentional, inclusive culture doesn’t just happen—it takes work.
They care deeply about creating strong, scalable people systems that align with their values, but they don’t need a full-time HR hire just yet. What they need is an expert partner who can help them build it right the first time.

Whether it’s making a client’s very first hire, designing progressive people policies, or guiding a founder through a tricky team challenge—we’re in it with them, doing the work that shapes high-performing, human-first workplaces.

The Opportunity (Spoiler: You'll make a big impact)
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process while providing world-class candidate and applicant experiences;
- Foster long-term relationships with candidates for current and future opportunities;
- Strategically go-to-market to support Bloom clients with engaging, assessing and hiring more diverse folks to join their team;
- Offer a care-centric approach to the application and candidate journey;
- Advise clients on how to build their team through the lens of inclusion;
- Cultivate a thoughtful and values driven approach to support our clients with hiring;
- Provide regular updates and shared analytics with Bloom clients;
- Flex your creative sourcing muscles to build diverse candidate pipelines.
What You Bring to the Role
- Get excited about working in an ever changing environment where context shifting is constant;
- Care deeply about the candidate, applicant and hiring manager experience;
- Have experience with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Loom, Asana and Lever;
- Take a creative approach to connecting with talent on social media channels;
- Are passionate about creating positive work experiences for everyone;
- Have experience building teams through the lens of inclusion;
- Are a strategic thinker who brings a problem-solving mindset to new challenges;
- Have a multichannel approach to recruitment: inbound, outbound, referrals, social media etc.;
- Are aware of the power dynamic that exists in the hiring process and work to remove barriers for marginalized and underrepresented communities;
- Feel comfortable calling-in hiring managers and team members when they are evaluating candidates from a point of bias;
- Have a thoughtful approach to celebrating folks embarking on new career adventures.
- Bonus points if you have experience recruiting for fashion, retail or e-commerce brands, and maintain strong networks across the United States.
Compensation + Location + Hours
- $50 - $55 CAD per hour
- You will be joining Bloom via your corporation or as an independent contractor.
- We are 100% remote and encourage folks to work where they can do their best work. That said, since we’re often meeting with clients, we expect contractors in the Bloom collective to conduct their work from a private, secure, and quiet space to ensure a distraction-free environment.

Our use of AI in hiring
We believe transparency matters, especially as technology evolves.At Bloom, we may leverage AI as a supportive tool when developing role descriptions, interview questions, take home assignments, and interview guides, where appropriate, with the goal of improving clarity, consistency, and accessibility for candidates. However, we do not use AI to source, assess, screen, or interview candidates. Every application is reviewed by a human, every interview is conducted by a human, and all hiring decisions are made by people, not automated systems. Human judgment, care, and accountability are central to how we hire.
