📍Location

We’re fully remote and welcome candidates from across the US. We get together a few times a year for company offsites where we build stronger relationships, kick off important work, and genuinely enjoy spending time together.

💼 Job Summary

We're looking for a Head of Demand Generation to own how the world finds Cortex. You'll be responsible for building our entire inbound engine, from SEO and paid social to LinkedIn ads, Reddit, and more channels. This is an analytical, experimentation-heavy role where you'll create scalable systems that drive high-quality leads and pipeline growth. You'll report to the VP of Strategic Initiatives and work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and GTM Ops to turn traffic into real opportunities that drive revenue.

💻 Responsibilities

• Own Cortex's demand generation strategy end-to-end, from awareness through lead conversion
• Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across paid search, paid social (LinkedIn, Reddit), SEO/SEM, content syndication, webinars, and emerging channels
• Design and run rapid experiments to discover what channels, messages, and tactics drive the highest quality pipeline
• Partner with Product Marketing to translate product messaging into high-converting campaigns that resonate with engineering leaders
• Collaborate with Sales and GTM Ops to optimize lead scoring, routing, and handoff processes that maximize conversion rates
• Manage demand generation budget and prove ROI across all channels with clear attribution and performance metrics
• Build reporting frameworks to track key metrics: traffic, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, CAC, and conversion rates by channel
• Work with our content and design teams to develop assets that support demand generation programs
• Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive tactics in the developer tools space
• Scale the demand generation function as we grow, potentially building a team over time

✔️Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B SaaS demand generation experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or senior IC role
• Proven track record generating pipeline in developer tools, infrastructure software, or technical B2B products
• Deep expertise across multiple demand gen channels: paid search, paid social, SEO, content marketing, ABM
• Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Salesforce, and marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, or similar)
• Data-driven mindset with ability to measure, optimize, and prove ROI of marketing investments
• Experience selling to technical buyers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Platform Engineers)
• Self-starter mentality with bias for action and experimentation
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll need to be both strategic and hands-on

Nice to have:

• Experience at a high-growth startup during a key inflection point (Series B to growth stage)
• Background in both product-led and sales-led growth motions
• Hands-on experience with developer communities (Reddit, Hacker News, dev.to, etc.)
• Technical background or strong understanding of engineering workflows

💰 Compensation

• Starting Salary Range: $190,000 - $230,000
• Competitive Equity Package
