Our Real-World Evidence (RWE) team is growing quickly through demand from both new and existing clients, and we have an exciting opportunity for an Epidemiologist to join our friendly and collaborative team. Our RWE team contribute to the design, execution and subsequent reporting of prospective, retrospective and cross-sectional real-world studies. They develop protocols and statistical analysis, acquire and analyse data, and communicate findings in both written and oral formats. Project types include the secondary analysis of data from patient registries and electronic health record (EHR) databases, as well as primary data generation such as prospective cohort studies or patient/clinician surveys. Studies cover a wide range of research questions on burden of disease, clinical effectiveness or economic topics, among others.
You will work in project teams alongside colleagues from all service areas to ensure that RWE projects are completed to an exceptionally high standard, on time and in line with client expectations. This role will include a range of work with varying levels of technical requirements. You will receive one-to-one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients, and following a successful induction period you will increasingly participate in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be someone who shows the potential to progress rapidly and who, with close mentoring, could take on project management and client responsibility in six to twelve months.
Our team typically work on several projects at simultaneously and the results of each analysis can feed into publications, value materials, health economic models or health technology assessment submissions. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home for up to half of the time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home for 1 day per week.

Our recruitment process includes a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. If successful, you will be sent a technical and proofreading assessment to complete. If you achieve the set pass mark for both exercises, then you will be invited for an interview with members of our Real-World Evidence team which will include a technical interview. Our standard recruitment process lasts around six weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.
