Job Summary
The Packaging Design Coordinator supports the packaging design team in delivering disruptive, best-in-class packaging that reflects e.l.f.’s bold, innovation-driven approach to beauty. This role plays a key part throughout the design and production process, supporting creative execution, cross-functional collaboration, and operational coordination to bring packaging concepts from development through production.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creatively driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about beauty, packaging design, and emerging trends.
Responsibilities
- Research standout packaging design and industry trends to support product innovation projects and stay current with social media and market activity.
- Execute packaging designs based on creative direction provided by the Design Director.
- Support and supervise shade matching of cosmetic products from development through production.
- Prepare and manage design turnover documentation for global partners and production teams, including coordination with overseas vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across innovation, development, production, VM, and digital teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve team processes.
- Stay informed on key meetings and timelines to support project progress and deliverables.
- Oversee office supply organization and maintain efficient systems for easy team access.
- Coordinate and support shipment of packaging and product samples to global partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Packaging, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong awareness of beauty, fashion, packaging, digital, and Gen Z trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- 3D design software experience is a plus.
- Experience in beauty or packaging art direction is a plus.
- Strong typography skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong creative sensibility and color aesthetic.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of sustainability best practices across packaging components, cartons, and decoration is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment.
The base salary range for this role is listed above.
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
