Job Summary
e.l.f. Beauty is seeking an R&D Coordinator to support the development, testing, and research of color cosmetics and skincare products. This role partners cross-functionally with Project Management, Product Development, Packaging Development, Regulatory, and Quality teams to help drive projects from concept through launch. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about beauty, with a hands-on approach to product testing and project coordination. This position reports to the Senior Manager, R&D and is based in our New York office with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Collect and review supplier documentation for US and EU product development projects
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams to support project progress and compliance requirements
- Partner with Product Development and Regulatory teams to support claims development and global testing needs
- Track, organize, and manage formula submission samples
- Coordinate samples for claims and safety testing
- Maintain and update project trackers, templates, and documentation tables
- Create and optimize folder systems to keep projects and data organized
- Manage and distribute samples internally across teams
- Assist with product testing and collect product feedback
- Compile data and prepare documentation in a clear, accurate, and consistent format
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific, chemical, or engineering discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in skincare and/or color cosmetics preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage detailed information and documentation accurately
- Proficiency in Excel for data management and analysis
- Competence in PowerPoint for presentation and information organization
- Ability to work in the NYC office at least 3 days per week
The base salary range for this role is listed above.
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
