Entrata is seeking an experienced Equity Plan Administrator to own and scale our equity compensation programs as we continue to grow. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end equity plan administration and stock-based compensation accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across all equity-related activities.
This is a highly cross-functional role partnering closely with Accounting, Legal, Payroll, HR, FP&A, and external auditors. You will serve as the primary owner of our equity administration platform, Morgan Stanley Shareworks, and play a critical role in building scalable processes and controls to support a growing organization.
Responsibilites
- Own end-to-end administration of all equity programs including stock options, RSUs, performance awards, and ESPP.
- Serve as system owner for Shareworks, managing award setup, vesting, exercises, releases, cancellations, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate cap table records and ensure alignment across Shareworks, legal documentation, and accounting systems.
- Lead stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718, including valuation, expense recognition, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Manage accounting for equity modifications, forfeitures, cancellations, and settlements.
- Partner with Legal on equity plans, award agreements, amendments, and corporate actions.
- Act as primary point of contact for auditors on all equity compensation matters.
- Partner with Payroll and Tax to ensure accurate withholding, reporting, and compliance, including W-2, 3921, 3922, and international reporting.
- Design and scale equity administration processes, internal controls, and system integrations.
- Create and maintain equity administration and SBC accounting documentation, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in equity compensation, stock-based compensation accounting, or technical accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 718.
- Experience supporting audits and working directly with external auditors.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex, multi-step processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification.
- Hands-on experience administering equity plans in Morgan Stanley Shareworks.
- Experience with performance-based equity awards and market-based conditions.
- Familiarity with equity-related financial statement disclosures.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Payroll, and FP&A teams.
- Prior experience in a high-growth or scaling company environment.
