The Opportunity
On our team, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading experts who've supported the world's biggest cloud providers.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the growth and success of Fortreum. You'll gain invaluable experience, expand your skill set, and play a pivotal role in Fortreum's growth story.
Key Responsibilities
Fortreum is seeking exceptional Account Executives to drive our continued growth in the cloud security and compliance market. In this role, you will own and drive new market share capture. Your primary focus is acquisition of new business logos through aggressive prospecting and consultative closing. While you manage a small set of non-strategic renewals, 90% of your energy targets the "Unclaimed Territory" to expand the company footprint.
This role demands a proactive outbound prospecting mindset to break into new accounts across Commercial and Public Sector verticals. This role will leverage consultative selling methodologies to qualify "Whitespace" leads and architect solutions that deliver measurable value.
Specifically, you would work closely with all members of the team supporting the following work activities:
Independently generate and manage a full sales pipeline, driving new account acquisition and consistently closing new logos. Identify and close new contracts for Assessments, Advisory, and Technical Testing (Red Teaming, Penetration Testing).
Collaborate with SDRs to follow up on inbound or sourced leads while taking ownership of self-sourced opportunities.
Achieve and exceed revenue targets while accurately tracking and reporting sales activity, distinguishing between inbound and self-sourced leads for performance metrics.
The Hunt: Focus 100% on winning new business logos.
Platform-Led Sales: Leverage the XRAMP Platform as a key differentiator in the sales cycle, showcasing our Continuous Assessment methodology to solve for increasing regulatory complexity.
Apply MEDDPICC methodology to rigorously qualify opportunities, specifically validating Decision Criteria and Paper Process early in the cycle.
Orchestrate the entire sales cycle from Discovery to Closed-Won, bringing in Solution Engineers for technical scoping and Finance for contract negotiations.
Maintain hygiene in Salesforce, ensuring all opportunities have valid "Next Steps" and close dates.
Business travel is expected to be 40% at a minimum, mainly domestic.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years in a high-velocity Hunter role within SaaS or Security Services.
Expert-level proficiency in MEDDPICC or Force Management methodologies.
Consistent track record of exceeding $1M+ annual new business quotas.
Proven track record of successfully creating and closing a sales pipeline independently, preferably in a cyber/cloud environment.
Highly motivated, self-starter mindset with the ability to source and develop new leads without relying solely on warm contacts.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a results-oriented approach to new business development.
Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (or a similar leading CRM platform) for managing leads, tracking sales activities, and generating reports.
Require demonstrable experience with relevant compliance frameworks like NIST, SOC 2, ISO, CMMC, or FedRAMP.
Strong technical understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies.
Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, primarily for domestic travel to client sites and industry events.
Posted Salary Range
$95,000 - $110,000 annual salary, OTE: $190,000 - $220,000
