About This Position
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the Construction Team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Director of Construction Project Management and will assist cross-functional partners in Development, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Operations. The successful candidate must be an experienced multi-tasker with the ability to work on multiple (2-3) large-scale projects simultaneously. Our ideal candidate is team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a deadline-driven environment and has experience managing wind projects exceeding 300 MW in capacity.
What You’ll Do
Weekly and monthly budget review and reporting including: forecast cash flows, invoice review, lien waiver review, actuals, accruals, forecasts
Review and monitor schedules from different parties and ensure they are fully aligned
Track owner, contractor, and 3rd party deliverables in the EPC contracts and land contracts.
Read and understand construction contracts
Manage consultant agreements and deliverables
Attend meetings with contractors, utilities, grid operators
Manage Owner Site Team of 8+ consultant personnel
Develop project trackers to manage the quality and commissioning process and performance testing
Track delivery of owner supplied materials and ensure that the milestone payments and contractual notices are completed
Assist Project Finance team in compiling monthly documentation such as external progress reports, lien waivers, invoices, subordination agreements, estoppels, warranties and supporting documentation
Liaise with the Owner's engineer, manage the deliverables per the project schedule and ensure compliance with technical specifications
Prepare weekly internal reports for executive level discussions
Review and manage EPC engineering documents (IFP, IFC, RFI, submittals, transmittals, as-builts) and ensure they are answered or cleared in a timely manner
Mentor Associate Project Managers as they progress in their careers
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field
7+ years of progressive experience working in wind construction with a focus on project management, EPC contract management, budget ownership, invoice tracking, and schedule monitoring
Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Project Manager or equivalent on at least 2 utility-scale wind projects from start of construction to substantial completion
Advance knowledge of Excel, Google Suite, Slack, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project
High attention to detail and standards for work products
Able to translate complex findings into slide presentations for executive team review
Familiar with site safety protocols and procedures
Strong communication and negotiation skills
