This role offers the unique opportunity to build an AI Center of Excellence from the ground up, defining the strategy, playbook, and product execution for AI initiatives that enhance member experiences and drive business outcomes. You will work cross-functionally with executives, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases and deliver production-ready AI products. The position requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical fluency, and hands-on execution, with responsibility for establishing governance, measurement frameworks, and adoption across the organization. You will influence AI priorities, build internal literacy, and demonstrate tangible ROI from AI initiatives. This is a high-visibility role designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and can turn AI potential into real-world impact.
Accountabilities:
- Define the AI vision, strategy, and governance frameworks, ensuring responsible, ethical, and compliant AI development.
- Build the AI product playbook, creating standardized processes for ideation, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage AI use cases across member engagement, operational efficiency, care coordination, and business intelligence.
- Own end-to-end AI product lifecycle, partnering with engineering and data science to design, build, launch, and iterate AI features.
- Establish measurement frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences to track performance, adoption, ROI, and business impact.
- Evangelize AI across the organization, educate stakeholders, and drive adoption through workshops, storytelling, and internal communication.
- Stay current on AI trends, tools, and best practices, introducing innovative solutions and continuously improving processes.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to AI/ML, data products, or emerging technologies.
- Proven track record of shipping 0→1 products or building new solutions from scratch.
- Technical fluency with AI/ML concepts (predictive models, generative AI, LLMs, APIs, training data) and ability to engage with data science and engineering teams credibly.
- Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and business case development skills.
- Experience defining KPIs, building dashboards, analyzing metrics, and reporting insights to executives.
- Comfort with ambiguity, bias for action, and ability to navigate unstructured environments.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presence skills to influence stakeholders.
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience is preferred, including knowledge of HIPAA or compliance considerations.
