This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Android Software Engineer – Finance Super App based in India.
You will join a fast-moving, global engineering environment focused on building a next-generation finance super app used by millions of users across the region. The role centers on crafting high-quality native Android experiences that simplify complex financial journeys such as insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and everyday money management. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to turn user needs into intuitive mobile flows. The work emphasizes performance, reliability, and clean architecture at scale. You will contribute to improving real-world user experiences through data-driven decisions, production insights, and continuous optimization. This is a high-ownership role for engineers who enjoy shipping impactful features and solving meaningful product challenges in a modern mobile-first ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
- Build and deliver high-quality Android features using Kotlin, ensuring smooth, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences for end users.
- Design and implement clean user flows across financial services such as insurance, payments, claims, and renewals in collaboration with product and design teams.
- Integrate and maintain backend APIs while ensuring secure, stable, and well-performing mobile interactions.
- Continuously improve application performance, including crash rate reduction, memory optimization, responsiveness, and loading efficiency.
- Use analytics, user behavior data, and production feedback to identify issues and enhance product experience.
- Contribute to the development of modern, maintainable Android architecture using best practices and scalable design patterns.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Android development with strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Proven experience shipping production-grade mobile applications with strong Android fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of modern Android development tools and frameworks such as Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and contemporary architecture patterns.
- Strong focus on mobile UX, usability, and attention to edge cases and real-world user behavior.
- Experience working with REST APIs and debugging production issues in live environments.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments and deliver with speed and quality.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate in global, distributed teams.
