This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Architect Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will provide essential architectural engineering support for DOJ/BOP facilities stakeholders. Your work will involve performing technical analyses, reviewing documents, and offering design support for various facilities projects. Through your recommendations and detailed inputs, you will influence critical Government decisions while facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects meet Government requirements without assuming endorsement or authority over designs.
Accountabilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals for completeness and constructability.
- Support facility condition assessments by identifying deficiencies and drafting technical narratives.
- Conduct architectural code and standards research and document findings for Government consideration.
- Develop and review design alternatives and architectural options for Government evaluation.
- Draft technical inputs for Statements of Work and performance requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare technical briefings and executive summaries for Government stakeholders.
- Track technical issues and support resolution workflows by documenting options and recommendations.
Requirements
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and decision-support analyses.
- Working knowledge of architectural codes, standards, and accessibility requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CAD/BIM workflows is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of architectural design, review, or facilities engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ/BOP suitability and facility access.
- Experience with Federal facilities projects is preferred.
- Registered Architect (RA) license in any U.S. jurisdiction is preferred.
