We are seeking a detail-oriented Fraud Investigator to help protect customers and maintain a secure digital financial environment.
This role focuses on investigating account takeover and identity fraud cases, identifying suspicious activity, and preventing unauthorized access.
You will analyze digital footprints, review complex cases, and take decisive action to secure compromised accounts.
Working within a collaborative risk and security team, you will combine analytical skills, investigative thinking, and customer empathy to resolve sensitive situations.

Accountabilities:
The Fraud Investigations Associate is responsible for investigating identity-related fraud cases, protecting customer accounts, and delivering timely resolutions while maintaining strong security and service standards.
- Investigate suspected Account Takeover (ATO) and identity fraud cases by analyzing alerts, customer information, account activity, and digital evidence.
- Verify customer identities and investigate unusual behaviors to determine the legitimacy of account access attempts.
- Take appropriate actions to secure compromised accounts, prevent further fraudulent activity, and support account recovery processes.
- Communicate directly with affected customers, providing clear guidance, reassurance, and empathetic support throughout the resolution process.
- Manage multiple active investigations while maintaining accuracy, prioritization, and adherence to case resolution timelines and service-level agreements.
- Analyze patterns and trends to identify emerging fraud techniques and contribute insights during team discussions and calibration sessions.
- Document investigation findings, decisions, and actions taken with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen fraud prevention strategies, controls, and operational processes.
- Continuously improve investigative approaches by sharing knowledge and supporting team best practices.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has experience in fraud investigations, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working with sensitive information, making informed decisions under pressure, and balancing security needs with customer experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct fraud investigation experience, preferably involving account takeover, identity verification, or account security.
- Understanding of fraud management frameworks, prevention controls, and investigation practices within financial services or technology environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and evaluate data accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies or suspicious patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security situations clearly.
- Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and effective in a fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
