This senior leadership role is focused on driving client success and operational excellence across large-scale acute care revenue cycle engagements. You will act as a strategic partner to health system leadership while overseeing end-to-end revenue cycle performance across multiple facilities, ensuring alignment between onsite operations and enterprise goals. The role requires a strong balance of hands-on operational leadership and executive-level relationship management in complex healthcare environments. You will lead and develop multi-layered onsite teams, while also directly influencing performance outcomes across front-end, mid-cycle, and business office functions. Operating in a high-stakes, client-facing environment, you will be responsible for escalation management, transformation initiatives, and sustained revenue cycle improvement. This is a highly visible role requiring frequent onsite presence and close collaboration with both client executives and internal leadership teams.
Accountabilities:
- Lead overall client success strategy across assigned acute care health systems, ensuring alignment with revenue cycle performance and contractual objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations including AR management, denial reduction, POS collections, and patient financial experience improvements.
- Manage and develop multi-level onsite teams, including site directors and operational leaders across multiple facilities.
- Serve as primary escalation point for client and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and strong stakeholder communication.
- Partner with client executives and internal leadership to define strategic priorities and execute transformation initiatives.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement performance improvement strategies across front-end, mid-cycle, and business office functions.
- Drive standardization and adoption of best practices across multiple acute care facilities and service lines.
- Lead executive-level client meetings, business reviews, and ongoing partnership governance discussions.
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of experience in acute revenue cycle management within complex healthcare or hospital environments.
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing large, multi-site operational teams in healthcare services or RCM organizations.
- Strong expertise in end-to-end revenue cycle processes including AR, denials management, patient collections, and billing operations.
- Proven track record of driving measurable performance improvements in large-scale acute care settings.
- Experience working directly with health system executives and managing high-value client relationships.
- Strong executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, performance transformation, and operational standardization initiatives.
- Certification such as CRCR or CPAR (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite at client locations approximately 75% of the time.
