In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing day-to-day benefits administration, enhancing HR technology, ensuring data quality, and generating insightful reports. Your contributions will directly impact the employee experience and the overall efficiency of HR operations. By blending hands-on operational tasks with systems configuration and analytics, you will help to create a seamless and supportive environment for employees.
Accountabilities
- Administer health & welfare, retirement, leave, COBRA, and ancillary plans; manage eligibility, enrollments, life events, and vendor escalations.
- Serve as the primary HRIS analyst for core UKG Pro HCM modules including employee data, benefits, and time/attendance; maintain configurations and workflows.
- Ensure flawless data flow between HRIS, benefits carriers, payroll, and third parties; monitor EDI files and promptly resolve any errors.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports covering headcount, turnover, benefit costs, enrollment, and ACA.
- Support the annual open enrollment process from requirements to post-launch validation.
- Drive compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related regulations; maintain standard operating procedures and audit controls.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and vendor partners to enhance processes and the employee experience.
- Provide tier-2 employee support with empathy, accuracy, and confidentiality; maintain service level agreements and knowledge articles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years in benefits administration and/or HRIS analyst roles within multi-site organizations.
- Hands-on experience with modern HRIS configurations, particularly UKG Pro.
- Proficient Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables), data auditing, and HR reporting.
- Familiarity with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and section 125/cafeteria plans.
- Experience in vendor management and EDI; comfortable troubleshooting file errors.
- Strong communicator adept at simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences with a customer-centric approach.
